When used with the "Redirect category shell" (Rcat shell) template:

When used by itself:

  • From a non-neutral name: This is a redirect from a title that is a non-neutral, perhaps pejorative, controversial or offensive word, phrase or name. It leads to the target page in accordance with Wikipedia naming conventions for neutrality in page titles and can help writing and searches. Normally, these redirected links should be replaced with links that go directly to the target page.
