Writing an article
Learn how you can create an article.

This page is not a sandbox. It should not be used for test editing.
To experiment, you can use the shared sandbox – or if you're logged in, your personal sandbox.

Welcome to the TTSCpedia! You have probably already edited blogs or social media sites. You have made edits that improved existing articles and now you want to start a new article from scratch. Now, if you have not done any editing before on the TTSCpedia, you cannot directly make a new article in mainspace. This permission is only for autoconfirmed users, which means those whose accounts are at least three days old and who have done at least ten edits (subject to change). Non-confirmed users can submit a proposed article through the Articles for Creation process, where it will eventually be reviewed and considered for publication.

Introduction

Here are some tips that can help you with your first article:

  • Register an account. All you need is to choose a username and password. This will allow you to edit articles, as well as create drafts of your own articles. After a few days of editing articles, we will automatically give you the power to create new ones.
Is it new? Type, then click "Go (try title)"
  • Search the TTSCpedia first in case an article already exists on the subject, perhaps under a different title. If the article already exists, feel free to make any constructive edits to improve it.
  • Practice first. Before starting, try editing existing articles to get a feel for writing and for using MediaWiki's mark-up language. If you are familiar with Wikia's markup language, or have contributed to Wikipedia before, you should already be somewhat familiar with the markup used on the TTSCpedia.
  • The Article Wizard will help you create your article in Draft space, and will put some useful templates into your draft, including the button to click when you are ready to submit the draft for review.

If you are logged in, and your account is autoconfirmed, you can also use this box below to create an article, by entering the article name in the box below and then clicking "Create page".
