AngusMcTavish is the username of a character designer on DeviantART, his YouTube name being AngusArt Entertainment.

Birth state: Ohio Current state: Washington Birthday: March 31

With MS Paint his primary tool, Angus has been part of DeviantART since 2008 and posted his first YouTube video the following year. Most of his videos consisted of images from dA based on fan art, memes or art summaries, the latter becoming an annual staple on his page. Most of these early collections didn't get a lot of views, with the exception of multiple images created from a self-made template based on the DEUUEAUGH meme from SpongeBob. Despite being heavily down-voted, the two installments' combined 36,000 views as of February, 2019, seemed like a personal achievement.

While at it, though, Angus discovered the early video experiments by davemadson, and while originally watching for the logo spoofs and bloopers, he became more interested in the text-to-speech voices that would accompany Dave's series, including Looney Tunes Intro Bloopers. This series gave Angus the idea to make a slideshow of his own "Looney Tunes Logo Spoofs" (2012), which not only met with moderate success, but was also praised by Dave (under his old account)! Two other compilations and other single themed spoofs have also been featured since then.

To change up the theme, Angus unleashed another compilation, this one for "PBS 1971 Logo Spoofs" (2013). This time, more notice was taken. While not exactly going close to "viral," the first of these slideshows became the most-watched video on his channel, accumulating over 85,000 views as of February, 2019. Soon after this, his YouTube page underwent an update, becoming AngusArt Entertainment, replacing his original, well-obsolete name, IJustWatchEm71.

By this time, Angus had started to become more and more inspired by Dave's videos and the faces given to the voices, inspiring him to create his own renditions of the characters. Some resembled Dave's versions in certain ways, like with Microsoft Mike or Radar Overseer Scotty, while Microsoft Sam and Sidney became examples of more original compositions (In the case of Sidney, Angus submitted his take on the character before the davemadson version was even introduced to the public!).

With no tools for trying voices at the time, some early experiments were made with his own renditions, including a "Silent Sam" blooper on September 24, 2013, a single outtake that ran nearly 30 seconds. This led to a video that would introduce other characters in a proposed Silent Sam series, which ended up scrapped.

But others took notice. The first to use these renditions for TTS videos was Shawn Wooten, who was continuing the series of Walt Disney Home Video Logo Bloopers after Guyisbackable's first two episodes. Episode 3 debuted a few of these characters on March 23, 2015, and Angus was duly credited for these designs for the first time. Other YouTube uploaders to use these designs since then include Falcon Lord Productions and Matt Crowley.

By 2016, Angus finally got a hold of some tools for making his own TTS videos, including Balabolka. Already using Windows Movie Maker for videos, he gave Microsoft Sam his first speaking part on his own channel by hosting his end-of-year DeviantART summary. It is here that Angus learned the big difference between formats. When he would put reasons for his selections in the video descriptions, these ran anywhere from two to four and a half minutes. Having a voice narrate each monthly selection, as well as providing a trivia question and other information, pushes the time frame further, and the 2016 summary ran nearly eleven minutes. On a side note, Sam's lines were done on one whole voice file!

As 2017 wound to a close, it was time for another art summary video, and this time, more voices joined in, with a different character presenting selections for each month. This also made room for additional dialogue among the voices, and the video ran a good 18 1/2 minutes as a result.

Angus spent some of 2018 experimenting with other ideas for the voices. On September 25, after three characters were killed off in Dave's "Looney Tunes Bloopers 144: Off Limits to Bloopers," fans approached Angus for angelic versions of Hank, Jimmy and Sidney. But Angus felt like maybe it was time to inform others that while it is good to have inspiration, sometimes it's best to make your own path, not relying so much on the same story arcs. He did this via a special "PSA" video with Microsoft Sam & Co., the group name he gave them in late 2017.

He would follow it up with a short, 30-second Halloween "greeting card" video, in which Sam and Mike argue over sloppy costume ideas based on Ace Attorney (Sam as Phoenix Wright, Mike as Miles Edgeworth).

Figuring that his next project may exceed the time of his previous one, Angus advertised with two teaser trailers before Premiering his 2018 dA summary. With the monthly selections, trivia question and answer, and additional conflict, the video reached an epic 29 minutes in length!

For 2019, Sam had a short video to congratulate former Seattle Mariner Edgar Martinez for making it to the Baseball Hall of Fame via Windows Error, but this also gave way to the characters giving voice to "PBS 1971 Logo Bloopers 3," the first time the slideshow got the TTS treatment.
