On November 1, 2017, creator TheVideoKid782 announced on Discord that the series was renewed for a third season, but then stated that it would be the last season of the series. The character known as "Brooke" from the Skype RP series was also scheduled to appear. Through the Lucas Gloss incidents, several run-ins with AceOfSpadesProduc100, and pressure from musician Sonohara to cancel the series, there was speculation at the show ending.

However, on February 12, 2018, production of the series on TheVideoKid782's Chromebook was suspended. Production files were soon lost, though both productions were later restarted and completed.

On December 1, 2018, BatteryMill and TheVideoKid782 announced a rebrand, under a new title of ''IVONA Eric: Errors+'', which would then be revised as ''IVONA Eric: ErrorGang.'' There is expected to be a major character shift in the series.

As of Thanksgiving 2019,the talks have fallen through, and there is a chance the Windows move got to after Season 3, and the main series ending. The move, however, was originally still planned to mark a software change for specials ordered, however, it is unlikely this will happen immediately as of now.
